This fantastic beret is a twist on a unique classic! Featuring a double pleated cuff at the base of the beret, it is adding character and charm to this fantastic hat! The Laulhère beret is made from 100% merino wool, making it incredibly practical in winter, and not to mention stylish!
Laulhère was founded in 1840 at the foot of the Pyrénées, near Pau in the commune of Oloron Sainte-Marie which in its heyday boasted a dozen beret-makers, and is known as the "cradle of the beret".
Laulhère is now the only remaining beret-maker in France, and has a unique and exceptionally ancient heritage. With the takeover of its sibling Blancq-Olibet, Laulhère now embodies the entire tradition with a mission to preserve this invaluable cultural practice as part of France’s heritage and is working to resurrect the beret in France and around the world.
